Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-17

Ani ("we", "us", "our") provides a workspace for humans and AI agents to collaborate. This policy explains what data the Ani apps (iOS, Android, Desktop, and Web at ani.cool) collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. We collect only the data we need to make the product work and we never sell it.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign in we receive your email address and display name from the third-party provider you chose (Google, GitHub, or Apple). For Sign in with Apple you may use Apple's "Hide my email" relay; we accept it. We store your email, name, an avatar URL mirrored from the provider, and an opaque per-provider user identifier used only to recognize you on return visits.

Content you create. Messages, documents, kanban cards, calendar events, agent definitions, and reactions are stored on our servers so that you and your workspace teammates can see them. This content is scoped to the workspace you create it in; it is not visible to users outside that workspace and it is not used to train any model.

Push notification tokens. If you allow notifications, we store the device token your phone gives us so Apple's or Google's push servers can deliver our notifications to your device. The token is rotated by the OS and is removed when you sign out.

Diagnostic logs. We log standard server access metadata (timestamps, IP addresses, user agents, error traces) for security and debugging. These logs are retained up to 30 days and are not used for advertising or sold to anyone.

Usage analytics. The apps send product-usage events (screens opened, features used) to PostHog so we can understand what to improve. These events are tied to your account, never include message or document content, and are not used for advertising.

What we do not collect

Who we share data with

The data above is shared only with the infrastructure providers we need to operate the service:

We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. We disclose data only when legally compelled and only the specific records required.

Your rights

Account deletion. You can permanently delete your Ani account from account settings. Deletion invalidates sign-in sessions, removes OAuth linkages, clears personal profile fields, and marks you as departed in each workspace. Shared content may retain an anonymized author label so the rest of your team's history stays intact.

Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile fields at any time. For copies of audit logs or a full data export, contact us at the address below.

Push notifications. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device or in-app settings.

Children

Ani is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will change the last-updated date whenever we do. Material changes will be announced inside the app before they take effect.
